REACHING DIFFERENT AUDIENCES--
THE ART OF NONPROFITS

The very successful projects on this page come from the same nonprofit agency, but to three different audiences.

The gala journal design and copy (top row) is for donors--mostly private and government professionals. The muted tones, with feminine artwork, showed the dignity of the women honorees, and the professionalism of the event itself (all collateral matched).

The ad was intended for agency staff, to help the agency get funding by giving input based on their own communities' needs.  The colors. layout and typefaces were chosen to grab attention and to evoke the idea that the questionnaire would be quick and easy to complete. The copy was intended to make users know that their input was highly valued and their efforts would not be wasted. More than 25% of all employees went online to click the link (the ad was in print).

The mobile enrollment unit (car) was designed to go out into the urban community, where lower-income clients, who often depend on public transportation, are likely to respond better to onsite outreach.  The bright colors stand out in even the busiest setting, and the children's photos were handpicked to show the diversity of age and race at the center.
